February 19, 2025 - From the life of the puppies
The whelping box is getting busy – the Leyas C-litter puppies celebrated their 2-week milestone yesterday. Mom Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) comes to nurse them regularly and otherwise rests outside the box, but she keeps a watchful eye on them. Weighing them is quite an adventure under her close supervision. Woe to me if I try to take a puppy away! All the puppies are thriving and gaining weight – each has already more than doubled their birth weight. Their eyes are beginning to open, and I can’t wait for our first eye contact…
Boys: Cass Ole Leyas aka Vostok (reserved) – tricolor and Camaro Leyas aka Empo (reserved) – mahogany brindle patches.
Girls: Carmina Leyas – red, Ci Noir Leyas – black with white, Clair de Lune Leyas – white with sable markings, Cyngle Leyas – tricolor with silver shading, Czara – patched tricolor.
We will be choosing one of the girls to stay with us, while the others will be looking for their forever homes. If you are considering a female puppy, feel free to contact me – I’ll be happy to answer any questions.

This evening Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) gave birth to 5 girls and 2 boys. Each puppy has a different color. Some girls will be available. Boys are already reserved. More information can be found on the page LITTER "C" LEYAS. If you might be interested, please do not hesitate to contact me.

When dreams come true... Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) won 1st place, CACIL and BOB out of 7 borzois in mix in Trautskirchen. Mary fulfilled conditions for C.I.C. (International coursing champion).

August 10 and 11, 2024 - Sighthound Festival Donaueschingen 2024 - Germany
We spent great time with friends at Sighthound Festival Donaueschingen 2024. The best place to be! Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) was out of coat but she became Dual Winner Donaueschingen 2024 (Beauty and Performance title), she was Ex 1, Anw. Dt. Ch. VDH and BOB Working at the first day under the French judge Mr. Christian Magré. She was Ex 2, Res. Anw. Dt. Ch. VDH at the second day under French judge Mr. Alain Dumortier. Mary and I also finally met Marion Wille, the breeder of Mary's father. Rasswet's Enigma was also present with his owners Veronika and Wim Teunissen who did great photos of these special days. Mary's half-brother Jelistaz Exquisite Son Of Enigma who lives with his father was also there, and they had a good time together in Donau. It was lovely seeing you all again.
July 27, 2024 - Holiday Wind Cup, CACT - Kozohlody
We survived a very hot day in Kozohlody, where Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) ran out 4 th place in competition with 5 borzois (2 females and 3 males). Many thanks again to Dáša Keberlova for the action photos. We will run again in autumn, when it is not so hot.

We enjoyed a hot day in Střítěž, where Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) finished in competition with 8 borzois on a beautiful 4th place. Many thanks to Dáša Keberlová for the action photos.
June 7 - 9, 2024 - 3 x show in Rogla (Slovenia)
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) and I went to 3 shows in Rogla, Slovenia. The first day was a national show and the next two days were international shows. Mary did well and won the BOB title all 3 days. She fulfilled the conditions for the title Slovenian Champion and C.I.B.P. (but we have to wait for the confirmation of the title from the FCI, which will be only after the FCI receives the official results). In addition, on the first day, Mary got placed 3rd in the final competitions in Group X. We enjoyed a beautiful long weekend in the mountain resort.
May 18 and 19, 2024 - THE Swiss Sighthound S&L Event (Show & Int. Coursing) in Aarau (CH)
I am very proud of Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas). She showed what a great coursing dog she is.
The whole weekend was well organized – an exhibition on Saturday and coursing on Sunday not only for borzois. Super background of the horse racetrack, including the grandstand, where we could watch the other races like in the palm of your hand. The weather was almost too warm. At the racetrack, they have an endless hare with an overhead line (about 2 meters high), which I have never seen before and neither has Mary. Everything takes 2 minutes from start to start. No stretching. The lure behaves differently in motion than when leading on the ground - basically it flutters a lot in the air and from side to side. I have to commend the fresh rabbit skin on the last lure (there were 3 in a row). The terrain was very challenging as it was a horse racing course with natural obstacles including a pond, bushes, logs, trees and several artificial hills.
In the first run, Mary made a mistake and lost the lure for a while in the unclear terrain - she immediately caught up again, but the judges gave her only 234 points (83/86/65) and so after the first run she was in 12th-13th place out of 17 females at the start. The second run was the other way around and Mary put in a really great run to pull it out to a 3rd place finish! The 274 (90/91/93) points in the second run was the highest score of any Borzoi run on the day. In addition, with Ex2, res.CAC, she placed 2nd in the competition Beauty and Performance Aarau + Res Tagessieger SO and also met the conditions for entering the working class at international shows. Congratulations to everyone who was placed on the so-called box, because it was a really big surprise for me. Thanks to Veronica Teunissen and Anita Hendriks from Holland for the great company. Simply an unforgettable weekend ;-)

Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) got her second Czech CAC in the working class. She also showed well in movement, so I was happy. Fortunately, the weather cleared up, we didn't get wet.
May 4, 2024 - Club show of KChCh - Konopiště
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) was in the working class for the first time and was awarded Exc.1, CAC by the very precise and pleasant judge Klaus Strack from Germany. All judges at the show were foreign and a total of 48 borzoi were entered, which is a high number. It was a very nice day with friends - the weather was also great.
April 6, 2024 - NordCoursing Cup - CACIL, CACT - Tošovice
We had a great day in Tošovice at the NordCoursing Cup 2024, where Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) finished 1st in a competition of 8 Borzoi females and won CACIL, CACT and BOB. Mary had a real Christmas at the finish on her first run as the organizers attached the fur of a whole rabbit to the tassel and she knocked over her muzzle at the finish, took a bite and wanted to disappear with the catch. In the end, we managed to take her fur and leave it for other competitors. The weather was also kind to us, so a great day. Thank you Anifotografia for the beautiful photos.
March 29 - 31, 2024 - National sighthound show and international coursing in Hoope (Germany)
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) and I went to see Easter in Germany. The weather was quite changeable and quite cold. At the show, Mary got the EX3 award in competition with 5 females in the open class and a beautiful critique from the breed specialist, Evelyn Kirsch (Ischyma Barsoi). She took a beautiful 5th place out of 14 females on the demanding coursing. And it was close - females in 3rd, 4th and 5th place had the same number of points overall.
March 16, 2024 - Spring opener 2024 - Stable Manon Suchá u Litomyšle - CACT
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) 2nd and res. CACT of 12 borzoi females at the start met the conditions for awarding the title Coursing Champion of the Czech Republic. Hurrah!
March 10, 2024 - Agár Klub Championship CACIL - Kincsem Lovaspark
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) and I finally tried coursing in Hungary. It was a really nice parcour and they had a very skilled lure wincher. Mary took 2nd place and res. CACIL from 5 borzoi females at the start.

January 20, 2024 - Snow coursing in Neustift im Stubaital - CACIL
We had a great weekend in Neustift im Stubaital together with Wim and Veronika Teunissen, Mary’s father Tsjechov and half brother Tolstoy. Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) took part in the snow coursing on Saturday and she finished on the 2nd place out of 16 females with Res.CACIL We are very happy and proud. We were also lucky to have an opportunity to try the second parcour on Sunday morning as the test runner and Anifotografia took great pictures of Mary.
January 13, 2024 - Presentation of prizes and a friendly meeting of owners of sighthound racers
On Saturday, Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) and I received the cup for coursing winner 2023 and an honorable mention for representing the Czech Republic at the WCC 2023 in Sweden (4th place out of 31 Borzoi females) from the hands of DACK representatives. Let's see what 2024 will bring. I wish all sighthound competitors a successful season and above all good health.
December 1 - 3, 2023 - 3 x IDS Wels, Austria
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) was awarded CACA, CACIB, Sieger Wels 2023 and BOB on Friday. I didn't show Mary on Saturday. On Sunday, she won the CACA, Best female, BOS awards and thereby fulfilled the conditions for the title of Austrian Champion. A truly beautiful end to this year. We are very happy and proud.
November 11, 2023 - Jubilee coursing CACIL, CACT - Malacky (SK)
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) ranked 5th out of 13 Borzois in the mix. We tried the endless hare and it was a great end to the coursing season. Thanks to Dáša Keberlova for the photos.
October 25, 2023 - DaCK ČMKU published the results of the 2023 coursing winner

August 12, 2023 - Holiday Wind Cup, CACT - Kozohlody
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) had to fight hard to reach 3rd place among the 7 borzois in the mix. In the first run, she probably lost the lure (the track was not visible at all, so I don't really know what happened) and was in the last 7th place. In the second run, she ran alone and did very well and scored a beautiful 180 points (the highest score among the borzoi in the 2nd round). She thus took 3rd place overall. Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) took part in the Czech Championship and won the title Lure Coursing Master of Czech Republic 2023 and CACT. We are very happy.
July 2, 2023 - World Championship Lure Coursing 2023 - Kristianstad (Sweden)
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) took part in the World Coursing Championship in Kristianstad, Sweden. After the first run, she was in first place out of 31 females. After the second run she took a beautiful 4th place with the same total points as the bitch in 3rd place. That is why she also received the Swedish LC CERTIFICATE.
May 14, 2023 - Coursing CACIL, CACT, V4 Cup - Adamov (SK)
Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) took part in coursing in Adamov and finished 6th out of 10 females. It rained steadily all day.

Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) won the CACA and CACIB awards on the first day of the show. The second day she did really well and in addition to the CACA, CACIB, Alpensieger 2023 and BOB awards, she won a beautiful 4th place in group X.

Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) was shown for the first time in intermediate class and completely naked. Nevertheless, on Friday she got Ex 1, CACA, res.CACIB and on Saturday Ex.1, CACA, CACIB, BOS and Winter Trophy 2022. Hopefully the hairs will grow back for the next exhibition.

Mary (Bonfire Heart Leyas) has finally got her own page. She has grown so much and will be 6 months old soon. She has been on her first dog show, she practices chasing the tassel and she visits the dog school for puppies. She is busy girl.

Amarcord Leyas (Denis) has been registered as new stud dog. He is 85 cm tall with full dentition and scissor bite. He is also DM N/N Clear (by parents).

Wery sad day at our kennel. We had to say goodbye to our beloved Leicro`s Zchangtil. She did not recovered from anaplasmosa from a tick.
31.07.2016 - We have got puppies!
Our litter of borzois was born on 23rd July 2016.Father is Ch. Chadwik Lynn Silent Enigma. Mother is our Ch. Kozlowski's Octavia, imported from Sweden. Both parents are of sweet nature and exceptional exterior, both have full dentition and correct scissor bite. Both have been tested for DM with negative result (N/N). The puppies are doing well, only one female is a bit smaller but vivid.

We received the results of a test for the genetically transmitted (hereditary) disease Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) of our Olinka and it is negative, i.e. she does not transmit this disease in any way.
